Beach Drawing print artworks available to purchase here
“Head in the Sand” was created near Wyadup Rocks in WA, just a few days before the Covid lockdown in Australia. There was plenty of confusion going on at the time with some weird incidences in society, including panic buying. This artwork was a response to those things.
“Beach Blanket” (Bunker Bay) portrays a character sleeping under the ocean. This character is content because the ocean is providing comfort. The ocean provides us with so many crucial things. This piece comments on how we should not sleep on climate change and that we need to protect the environment we love. It’s also appropriate the artwork does not require any paints or materials. Just a drone, rake and some manual labour.
The beach drawings disappear within a day or two. It’s a fleeting moment. A quick drawing. The artworks live on through footage and photography.
