At the Drive In print artworks available here
A personal art project, exploring storytelling, site and scale.
The artwork aims to portray the memories and nostalgia of drive-in cinema.
Drive-in theaters played an important role bringing together regional towns and communities. Through recent times in 2020, I also wanted to celebrate togetherness.
Busselton Drive-In opened back in 1960 and was one of the last in WA to close.
A big thanks to Ron Jones and family. The majority of materials for this land mural were salvaged from donated paints otherwise destined for the tip. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
First 4 images captured by Christian Fletcher.
